Frequently Asked Questions

LOCATION

629-631 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON, L8L3A1.  Look for the glowing gated doorway.

PARKING

There is plenty of paid street parking all around us on Barton St, as well as free parking on the surrounding side streets.  There are also 3 municipal parking lots within a 5 minute walk.  We can provide change for cash, but cannot do a cash back debit interaction.

HOURS

We are open Thursday/Sunday from 4:30pm to 9:30pm, with our last seating at 8pm.  Friday/Saturday we are open from 4:30pm to 11pm, with our last seating at 9:30pm.

PHONES

Our phone number is 905-581-9030.  Please note that we only have someone on phones on the days that we are open from 2:30pm until our last seating.  If you call and get a message saying the line is unavailable, it is because the phone is in use - please try back.  We do our best to answer every phone call but our host can get very busy during busier seating times.

RESERVATIONS

We highly recommend making reservations.  Reservations can be made for up to 10 people online - for anything larger please see our large group info.

Our online reservation system automatically opens up tables up to 30 days in advance (please note: this includes the exact time as well - so 4:30pm tables are available 30 days out at 4:30pm, 8:00pm tables at 8:00pm, etc.).

Tables larger than 4 people tend to get booked very quickly and we recommend booking them the day they are released to have the best chance at getting one.

Please note when booking a table for 2 that many of our tables for 2 are at high top tables with stools.  If you have a concern about that, please note it in your reservation notes and we’ll do our best to seat you at a low table.

CHILDREN

Children are welcome.  We have a couple of high chairs but no booster seats.  If you need a high chair, please note it in your reservation.  There is no separate kids menu, but our menu in general is pretty kid friendly.  Please note: if you are bringing a child, even a baby, please include your child in the total number of people you are reserving for.  We do have tables where it is not possible to squeeze an extra person in at, so it’s important for us to know if you require extra space for a high chair, stroller, carrier, car seat, etc.

WALK-INS

We have 8 seats at our bar that we keep for walk-ins.  Being here right when we open at 4:30pm is the best way to get one for sure.  After that, the easiest is to check in with our host in person or by phone and they can add you to the waiting list and send you a text as soon as something opens up.

ACCESSIBILITY

We are in an old building with 2 units of different heights stitched together and unfortunately our space is not very accessible.  There is a step to get into the entrance, then another to get into the main space from the entry.  Inside, there are other steps up and down between various areas of the restaurants.  Bathrooms are in the basement.

TAKEOUT

We do offer takeout and the easiest way to order is online through our website.  Orders for each day open the morning before at 8:30am and it’s best to order early to guarantee availability.

LARGE GROUPS

We do accept groups of more than 10 people through special request.  To keep large groups from interfering with the enjoyment of the rest of our guests, we do have some large group policies:

  • All large groups will be on a single bill
  • Food must be pre-ordered - we will assist you with this when you contact us
  • There will be an automatic gratuity of 20% applied to the bill

PRIVATE EVENTS

We do offer partial / complete buy outs of our space, as well as openings on off days for private events.  Please contact us for details.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

Please alert your server to any allergies you may have as well as their severity.  We will do our best to accommodate you, but there may be cases where it’s just not possible to guarantee against cross contamination for severe allergies.

NUTS

We currently are not using any nuts in any of our food.  We do make a number of drinks with Orgeat syrup, an almond-based product.  Please let your server know if you have a nut allergy.

GLUTEN FREE

We use Caputo Fioreglut flour - a certified gluten free pizza flour blend that is imported from Italy.  Ingredients are: Gluten free wheat starch, dextrose, maize starch, buckwheat flour, rice starch, vegetable fibres, thickener:guar; flavouring.  If you have issues with deglutenized wheat starch our GF crust is not suitable for you.

We have a separate set of pans that only get used for gluten free crusts and pizzas.  During baking, we use a separate spatula and pizza wheel for gluten free pies, and they are cut in the box or directly on a serving tray to isolate them.  We have a number of celiacs that eat our pizza regularly and have never reported any issues.  All that being said - we are a working pizzeria that uses hundreds of pounds of flour.  Our dough room is downstairs and kept separate from our main kitchen, but there is always going to be a slight chance of cross contamination, no matter what we do to minimize it.

Our fryers do have items put in that contain wheat, and we do not have a separate fryer for gluten-free.

Any of the pizzas can be made on a gluten-free crust (small size only), and all of them are currently gluten-free for toppings.  All pizzas can be made vegetarian or vegan (except for the MVP as we don't have a vegan pesto/vodka sauce).  The seasoning we use on our chicken has an ingredient note that says may contain traces of gluten, but does not directly contain any ingredients with gluten.

Note: if doing both gluten-free and vegan together - the vegan meat we use for chicken/sausage is gluten based.  The vegan meat we use for bacon/pepperoni is gluten free.  The seasoning we use on our chicken does not directly contain any gluten, but is labeled as possibly containing traces of gluten.

VEGAN/VEGETARIAN

We can make any of our pizzas vegetarian or vegan (other than the MVP) and we have vegan alternates for everything we use on pizzas other than Pesto and Vodka sauce.  None of our vegan cheeses are nut based, but the parmesan substitute we use does contain sunflower seeds.  We do not have a dedicated vegan/vegetarian deep fryer.

HALAL

All of our chicken is Halal certified, and we have Halal pepperoni as well.  Bacon/Nduja sausage can be substituted for the vegan alternative.
